SQL Server Road Trip

Jay Dee and I are heading over to Denver, Colorado in the United States in September for the PASS Community Summit. Rather than fly from Los Angeles to Denver we have decided to take a road trip from LA to Denver instead, some 1000 miles. We had a bit of trouble deciding the best route to take so we decided to pick a few SQL Server user groups and use these as sign posts. So the road trip has now become a SQL Server road trip.

Apart from presenting at the PASS Community Summit in Denver as a ‘Spotlight Speaker’ I will also be presenting at the SQL Server Society of Las Vegas on Monday the 10th of September and the Utah County SQL Server User Group on Friday the 14th of September.

I will be presenting my Engineering 101 for the SQL DBA presentation which I presented at SQL Server Open World in Denmark earlier this year. By popular demand I will also be presenting an introduction to SQL Server 2008 at both User Groups that is based on the screencast series that I am currently presenting on AskaSQLGuru.

Have you ever wanted somewhere that you could post a SQL Server question to and then have someone create a personalised screencast that answers your question? For example How do I enable a trace flag in SQL Server 2005? or How do I define the security context for a SSNS component?

Well now you can using ask a SQL guru.

To use this free service to answer the next question you have on SQL Server simply use Skype to call askasqlguru and leave your message and we will reply to you with a personalised screencast with the answer.

You’ve got questions…we’ve got answers AskaSQLGURU.com
