Monitoring your SQL Server Replication Topology
Quest Software’s Melbourne R&D lab have been focussing on providing software solutions for monitoring and improving performance of SQL Server, one of our area’s of focus is SQL Server replication. This session will provide an in depth look, at monitoring your replication topology and share some of the experiences and knowledge of the Quest R&D team’s in depth knowledge and experience.

Topics covered will be as follows:
– How to monitor your replication topology for failures and performance?
– What tools are available and how to use them effectively? – Best practises and tuning tips.
– Introduction to Spotlight on SQL Replication and the beta program.

About the Presenter
Jim Katsos has been working in research and development for over 8 years specialising in SQL Server monitoring and availability. Jim is currently leading a team of developers, dedicating their efforts to monitoring tools for SQL Server Replication and new SQL Server 2005 technologies. Prior to this, Jim was involved in previous roles developing RDMS applications for SQL Server with companies such as Ansett and Officeworks.
