November QLD SQL Server User Group

At this month’s QLD SQL Server User Group we are lucky enough to have Mark Morton presenting on Cryptography in SQL Server 2005.

Please Note: This meeting is being held on Wednesday the 22nd of November instead of Thursday the 23rd of November.

SQL Server 2005 Cryptography. Subtitle: Alice and Bob alive and well in Yukon.
This session will be rapid journey through the history of Cryptography starting with secret writing during the Persian Wars and cumulating in the Cryptographic features to be found in SQL Server 2005. On the way we’ll meet Alice and Bob, Julius Caesar and Whitfield Diffie amongst others, discuss the uses and abuses of Symmetric and Asymmetric encryption and investigate how to implement, manage and code using the new Cryptographic tools found within SQL Server 2005.

About the Presenter
Mark Morton is a Senior Technical Trainer and Consultant with Dimension Data Learning Solutions Brisbane. He has been working with Microsoft technologies for too many years and is a regular presenter at TechEd.and other industry forums.
