  • Codeplex RSS Feed for the entire project (not)

A little while ago the team that work on the BIDS Helper project discovered something interesting about codeplex. Codeplex Wiki pages have the facility to allow people to add comments, but unlike all the other places where people can interact with a codeplex project, for some reason wiki pages are not included in the projects RSS feed. So if you ...

Not a point-in-time comparsion, like ''SQL Server version x was released year a, which was the same year that OS y was released.''. I'm thinking more of the feel you have for the product. Would would ...

This topic is basically on how the client app communicates with SQL Server. Not the API level (like ADO or ODBC), or the packet level (TDS), but in between. • Understanding SQL Express behavior: Idle time resource usage, AUTO_CLOSE and User Instances

I've gotten a number of questions recently asking how SQL Express uses resources during idle time, and how that behavior impacts the way SQL Express behaves ''on first connection'' after being idle for a period of time. While many of these questions have been related to web hosting, the behavior is a general behavior for SQL Express, so I'll ...
