Overview
This one-day hands-on, instructor led course will guide you
step-by-step through the numerous aspects of performance tuning and
optimization in SQL 2005, 2008 and 2008 R2. You will learn how to
write high performance queries, allowing the optimizer to use the
most efficient query plan, and diagnose and correct performance
problems with already existing queries. During the day you will
also explore stored procedure optimization and T-SQL programming
best practices. The practical exercises are structured around SQL
Server Management Studio, SQL Server Profiler and other
sophisticated tools.
