Helping those who help others

Helping those who help others

Not for Profit organisations are a vital part of any community, providing important services and aid to those in need in many ways. Without this sector and the committed and hardworking volunteers and staff who keep them going, the well-being of many Australians would suffer.

At WARDY IT Solutions, we recognise and appreciate the work being carried out by the variety of amazing Not for Profit organisations. And we’re committed to helping them. To do this, we are using what’s at our fingertips – expertise in the Microsoft Data Estate!

As our Managing Director, Peter Ward notes, “It’s all about being able to give back to the community that supports us”.

Doing a lot with a little

The Not for Profit sector is a little different to our other clients in some ways, and the same in many others. The constant search and drive for funding is unique to charities and public service organisations, and the nature of grants is that money has to be allocated for very specific things – technology and database administration often takes a back seat.

Not for Profit organisations are well acquainted with making their dollars stretch further and doing more with less, while still providing quality care and resources to the community. All in all, we are in awe of the sector’s ability to get the job done, often with limited specialist IT resources. Just like all businesses, most Not for Profit organisations rely on their database environment to operate essential line of business functions – such as their HR and Care Management systems.

It’s our privilege to work with many Not for Profit clients including Spinal Life, Multicultural Development Australia (MDA), and Sundale. We offer a 10% discount on our services to these customers – and others in the NFP sector.

WARDY IT Solutions also contributes to community organisations in direct ways such as sponsoring the Rocket XP in the QLD Variety Bash and a team each year in the Ride for a Cure. We have also launched an initiative where our staff will spend a paid working day each year volunteering at an organisation of their choice.

Peter Ward says, “It’s about employee engagement, encouraging people to nominate and work with charities that are near and dear to their hearts. We want to help by using our position as a leading IT solutions provider to support a greater cause.”

Free SQL Server Safety Check – our offer of support to non-profit organisations

In the continued spirit of doing our bit, we’d like to offer a free SQL Server Safety Check to any Australian Not for Profit organisation.

This service entails verifying the critical components of a SQL Server environment to improve efficiency and address any gaps that can cause harm and interrupt the smooth running of the SQL Server database environment.

The usual cost for a check like this is $1,000 per SQL Server instance, and an organisation may have more than one depending on its size – some have twenty or more.

If you are part of a non-profit organisation and are keen to find out how to improve your SQL Server database environment learn more about our SQL Server Safety Check here and get in touch to schedule yours today.
