Implementing Partitioned Tables
In this session Geoff Orr will demonstrate how to implement and update partitioned tables. He will also show how partitioned tables can assist to manage very large databases (VLDB’s) and how to perform archive operations without the need to perform deletes.
About the Presenter
Geoff is an MCAD with over 20 years experience in IT in Australia and the UK. Geoff works in Database, Development and Business Intelligence. He has worked on systems as diverse as government grants, logistics, finance and even rubbish trucks. Geoff believes that data has its own story and loves databases. He has worked for Microsoft in Premier Support for SQL Server and now works as an Independent Consultant in partnership with Glyn Llewellyn and works closely with companies such as WARDY IT Solutions, Angry Koala and SSW.
