September 2017 Roundup

September 2017 Roundup

Over the last few weeks, I have been talking to a lot of people about the speed of change. While change is often seen as a bad thing; this resistance is often caused by the natural human tendency to avoid change. I recently wrote about the resistance to change that many federal government departments have and the challenges they face with moving from SQL Server 2005.

Following the General Availability announcement of SQL Server 2017, many people are talking about the increased cadence of SQL Server releases, especially with SQL Server 2016 being released less than 16 months ago. Rather than resisting change, we should be embracing the change for the new opportunities it provides. As a new father, I am experiencing change with my daughter every single day. While I would love to still be able to hold her in one hand, the changes have opened up many new opportunities for me to embrace, like our first swim in the pool and her starting to dance with me in her bassinet when she hears her favourite Ed Sheeran song.

If your organisation is struggling to leverage your data assets to help drive digital transformation, then why not allow WARDY IT Solutions to assist you with this change?

To wrap up, here are my top picks for September:
