WARDY IT Helps MDA Welcome New Members of the Local Community

Mosaic by MDA

WARDY IT will be helping to showcase the creative talent of Queensland’s diverse communities on 8 October, as a corporate sponsor of the inaugural MOSAIC festival in Brisbane’s Roma Street Parkland.

MOSAIC is an all-day world music, dance and cultural spectacular run by MDA (Multicultural Development Australia), an NGO that helps to settle thousands of newly arrived refugees and migrants into Queensland each year.

The event will feature performances from renowned artists like the vibrant and energetic Bustamento, Brisbane Babas and Ensemble Diaspora, as well as global cuisine demonstrations, arts and crafts, market stalls and a world fashion show.

WARDY IT’s sponsorship of the new festival furthers its involvement with the local Queensland community, and particularly with MDA.

We like to support local Queensland organisations, and we were exposed to the great work that MDA does through our joint Power BI Quickstart engagement. We were inspired by the incredible impact the organisation has in the lives of so many new Australians and wanted to be further involved. And that’s why we’re so pleased to be able to help sponsor this exciting new event.

– Peter Ward, WARDY IT Solutions CEO

Working together

WARDY IT and MDA first joined forces when MDA sought a data analytics partner to help to increase process efficiency and to establish actionable data insights. Recognising that IT plays a big part in helping its staff and volunteers to do the best job possible for Australia’s newest arrivals.

Support from local businesses like WARDY IT is vital for our work. We’re delighted that WARDY IT is showing its support of a multicultural and inclusive Queensland by being a sponsor of MOSAIC.

– David Cottle, Philanthropy and Corporate Development Manager at MDA

MOSAIC is expected to attract more than 10,000 people. In addition to the world music, dance and arts events, there will be an amazing array of delicious food on offer, family-focused activities such as storytelling and the Youth Zone for kids of all ages!

If you’re interested in attending MOSAIC on 8 October, all the details can be found on MDA’s website: https://mdaltd.org.au/mosaic/. We hope to see you there!

Beyond the event – the partnership continues

WARDY IT’s involvement with MDA will continue after MOSAIC is over. “We have offered free training to MDA’s clients,” said Peter Ward “They can choose from any of the courses WARDY IT offers, to help them establish their careers and lives in Australia.”

The comprehensive training schedule includes courses in Data Platforms (SQL 2016, 2014 and earlier) and Data Analytics (including Data Analysis Fundamentals and advanced Business Intelligence and Modelling).
