Welcome to the February newsletter from Australia's leading SQL Server Consultants, Trainers and Business Intelligence specialists 2010 will mean a number of changes for organisations with the release of SQL Server 2008 R2 along with SharePoint and Office 2010. The release date for the next version of SQL Server, SQL Server 2008 R2 has been announced as May 2010, so now is the time to start planning the roadmap to implement this new version of SQL Server. If you are trying to work out what these changes mean to your organisation you should contact WARDY IT Solutions who are clearly Australia’s leading SQL Server consultants, trainers and Business Intelligence specialists. WARDY IT Solutions was the first to market with a SQL Server 208 R2 workshop in Australia - SQL Server Hotlap. We are also the first company in Australia to offer training in PowerPivot. PowerPivot is a new feature in SQL Server 2008 R2 which allows businesses to concentrate on the analysis and presentation of data in order to meet their immediate needs. We have also implemented a SQL Server 2008 R2 solution for one of Australia’s largest Federal government agencies. Even if you are not thinking of implementing SQL Server 2008 R2, the announcement of Service Pack 4 for SQL Server 2005 and Service Pack 2 for SQL Server 2008 being released in Quarter 4 and Quarter 3 in 2010 respectively will mean you are not isolated from changes to SQL Server. Now is the perfect opportunity to review your SQL Server environment to ensure that you are in a position to manage this change. When applied to SQL Server, consolidation specifically translates into improved cost efficiency from higher utilization of resources.
