Welcome to the September WARDY IT Solutions SQL Server Newsletter
As SQL Server 2008 has now been released for eight weeks, the first Cumulative Update (CU) has appeared. Cumulative Update 1 contains the hotfixes for issues that have been fixed since the release of SQL Server 2008. The details for downloading this CU can be found here.Cumulative Updates are part of the Incremental Servicing Model that was introduced in SQL Server 2005. Under this model a CU is released every eight weeks.

The WARDY IT Solutions team recently participated in the 10km Bridge to Brisbane fun run and raised $500 to support Youngcare. Below is a few of the team walking across the line to the finish.
If you are in Tasmaina, South Australia or the ACT then keep an eye out for Tech SummerFest 2008. WARDY IT Solutions has partnered with Portal Synergy and AB Training to deliver a one Technical Showcase and two days of SQL Server, SharePoint and VSTS training in Hobart, Adeliade and Canberra. The first Tech SummerFest is in Hobart and will run from the 25th-27th of November, Adelaide is then the 2nd-4th of December and Canberra is the 9th-11th December.
