UQ SQL Server Presentation

If you are a University of Queensland student and interested in SQL Server then why not pop along to the SQL Server Talk @ UQ on Friday the 1st of June at the Abel Smith Theatre from 1 to 3 PM. At this SQL Server Talk I will be presenting on the importance of SQL Server in the market place as well as some of the new features in SQL Server 2005. Not only will you get to find out more about SQL Server and the Brisbane SQL Server community there will also be free pizza and an opportunity to win some great swag.

We have a special event this month at the QSSUG. Paul Randal from the SQL Server Core Storage Engine Team will be presenting on the Secrets of Fast Detection and Recovery from Database Corruptions.  Paul will be presenting this session direct from the US using livemeeting.  As part of this presentation Paul has posted a survey to his blog http://blogs.msdn.com/sqlserverstorageengine/archive/tags/VLDB+Maintenance/default.aspx.
