De-risking database migrations with our Code Migration Tool

Migrating from one Data Platform to another can be risky, time consuming, and costly. Our Data Platform Consultants know that some database migrations aren’t straight-forward, requiring extensive code migration that is not feasible to carry out manually.

Our Data Platform Consultants have come up with a tried and tested solution that we are excited to share with you: JANUS.

JANUS is a Code Migration Tool built to de-risk database migrations and improve the efficiency of the migration processes.

JANUS does this by checking against rules you put in place and refactoring your code for SQL Server and Azure SQL Data Warehouse automatically.

Learn more about JANUS here: https://www.wardyit.com/code-migration/

If you are ready to learn more about how JANUS can assist in your database migration, don’t hesitate to contact us here.

SQL Server End of Life Considerations

SQL Server End of Life (EOL) indicates that a particular version is at the end of its useful life, and Microsoft stops selling and developing it.

If you no longer receive security updates, your system defenses are down. By continuing to use an out of support version, this makes your system vulnerable to threats. You may find it nearly impossible to protect your data against cyberattacks.

We encourage you to upgrade your system to avoid these risks.

If you are not sure whether you are still eligible for extended support, check our recent blog post to find out.
